About the show

11137178_938758818224_6003917135939034287_n (1)One Guy, One Beer is a weekly video series hosted by beer enthusiast Nick Ostdick devoted to drinking, reviewing and discussing craft beer. Each episode features a passionate craft beer lover’s exploration and discussion of one particular brewery/beer, brewing style, possible food pairings, personal neurosis, anecdotes and more.

Bottom line: a great beer – like a great meal – can bring people together and this show is one man’s attempt to share great beer with you.

Founded in 2015, each episode is recorded on-the-fly Sunday afternoons at Nick’s dining room table with no editing, no script and as little formality as possible. Yes, the show is supposed to look this low-budget, and shouldn’t it all be about the beer anyway?

A runner and former writer/journalist, Nick is a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Certification Program and is currently preparing to take the Certified Cicerone exam. He resides in West-Central Illinois with his wife, a pug and a cat, and his favorite beers are Belgian strong goldens and darks, saisons and other farmhouse ales.

He really loves cheese. Like, a lot.
